Despite an extended winter season, testing focused on&nbsp;<strong>soft\/dusty and hard compact snow conditions<\/strong>. The skis were equipped with the new ATK Raider 12 SL bindings, while the boots used for testing were the&nbsp;Tecnica Zero G Tour Scout W.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The matching skins, Majesty Superpatrol Climbing\/Touring skins, were tested along with the skis. These skins, of the \u201cHot-Melt\u201d type, are made with a 65 percent Mohair and 35 percent Nylon composition, ideal for offering a good compromise between smoothness and grip on the impressions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first striking feature of the Majesty Superpatrol Carbon is their light weight. Accustomed to my Black Crows Navis Freebird skis, which weigh almost 1.6 kg per ski,<strong>&nbsp;with the Superpatrol Carbon skis it feels like I have virtually nothing on my feet<\/strong>. Another noticeable feature is&nbsp;<strong>the ski&#8217;s pronounced sidecut<\/strong>, with a radius of curvature of only 17.5 m, due to the 128 mm wide front pole combined with a narrow 94 mm underfoot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trying to bend the ski by pushing on the binding area, one notices that the bending occurs mainly in the area under the headstock and not uniformly along the entire length of the ski.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The position of the binding is set back slightly toward the tail, a design choice intended to&nbsp;<strong>increase maneuverability and facilitate turns<\/strong>, especially in powder conditions. Comparing them to Black Crows Navis of the same length, the mount is set back a couple of centimeters. This difference is not felt much on the descent on soft snow, where<strong>&nbsp;the ski remains maneuverable and provides good flotation<\/strong>&nbsp;thanks to the pronounced rocker and significant front scoop size. The insole immediately catches the eye thanks to its bright fuchsia color, enhanced by black silkscreens that differ on the two skis: one bears the logo and the other the name of the Polish company. Its maneuverability stands out during uphill inversions, turning with ease\u2014a feature particularly beneficial for beginners mastering their first uphill techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The<strong> pronounced rocker and wide front shovel<\/strong> deliver exceptional flotation and tracking, even in deep snow. However, the pronounced sidecut somewhat compromises stability on hard or icy traverses. The large tip and tail make it difficult to load the edge effectively under the boot, resulting in reduced grip. The attachment system, featuring a <strong>front bow<\/strong> and <strong>rear tie rod<\/strong>, is not groundbreaking but offers dependable performance. The cutting of the skins is precise, leaving the ski edges exposed to provide <strong>good grip<\/strong> during icy traverses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During outings, even in warm and wet snow conditions, the glue performed well, maintaining strong adhesion to the ski even after <strong>three consecutive repasts<\/strong>. They feel light and soft underfoot, offering a feeling of control that allows them to be handled without difficulty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The wide, soft front shovel, combined with the pronounced rocker, eases entry into turns, making them ideal for powdery snow and less demanding conditions. However, when attempting to adopt a more aggressive skiing style, the skis tend to become unstable and \u201cdancey,\u201d a behavior that is accentuated at high speeds and on hard snow. This aspect can reduce the feeling of safety and riding pleasure in more technical or fast situations. Despite the narrow width under the boot, the skis float really well thanks to the pronounced rocker and very wide front shovel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/mountainreview.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Majesty-Superpatrol-carbon-15.jpg\" alt=\"test plvere\" class=\"wp-image-29895\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mountainreview.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Majesty-Superpatrol-carbon-15.jpg 800w, https:\/\/mountainreview.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Majesty-Superpatrol-carbon-15-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mountainreview.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Majesty-Superpatrol-carbon-15-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/mountainreview.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Majesty-Superpatrol-carbon-15-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/mountainreview.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Majesty-Superpatrol-carbon-15-65x65.jpg 65w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hard snow<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As in uphill,&nbsp;<strong>on this type of snow the skis do not respond best<\/strong>: to get the edges to catch, you have to load the skis a lot, otherwise they tend to slide. If you gain speed, on the other hand, the skis become dancerish and the front spatula vibrates excessively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Spring snow<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As with powder snow, the skis perform well on soft snow such as spring snow. All it takes is a light layer of soft snow on hardpack or a nice corn snow slope that the skiing becomes easy and fun, even on tight turns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Non-bearing crust<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I haven&#8217;t had a chance to try them on crust, but considering their light weight and soft shovel, I would expect them to struggle in crust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overall Feeling<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Majesty Superpatrol Carbon<strong>skis are fun and easy to use, ideal for days after a snowfall or for not particularly steep slopes with soft snow<\/strong>. Despite my being used to a different type of skiing and skiing, I was able to quickly find a good feeling both uphill and downhill. These skis, thanks to their light weight, make the ascent less strenuous, even on long rides, allowing them to tackle the elevation gain without overtaxing their legs. On the descent,&nbsp;<strong>they prove to be fun and easy to handle<\/strong>, ideal for those who want to enjoy smooth turns on undemanding slopes, especially on powder snow, where they offer excellent maneuverability and tolerate any mistakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conversely,&nbsp;<strong>I would not recommend them to skiers who prefer a fast or aggressive descent<\/strong>, or who seek performance on hard snow and steep terrain.
